- Repairs and maintains clinical equipment (patient beds and stretchers) to the manufacturer's specifications.
- Performs scheduled and nonscheduled PM checks as needed.
- Documents work orders and PM checks.
- Orders parts and materials as needed.
- Assists clinical staff with equipment In Service or technical documents when required.
- Communicates in a clear and timely fashion to staff on status of repairs.
- High School Equivalent / GED Required
- Strong Mechanical and Electronics back ground. (Preferred proficiency)
- Solid knowledge of Electronics and mechanical basic operation. (Preferred proficiency)
- Solid understanding of trouble shooting flows and diagnose failures. (Preferred proficiency)
- Ability to complete electrical safety and basic operation of electrical/electronic testing equipment. (Preferred proficiency)
- Basic troubleshooting knowledge. (Preferred proficiency)
- Knowledge or experience with Patient beds including critical care beds (Preferred proficiency)
- Technical certificate from an electrical and/or mechanical trade school Preferred
