Description
Responsible for overseeing all phases of production beginning with the receipt of the cut order ending when finished goods are delivered into inventory for the entire sewing plant/apparel division.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties maybe assigned.
Utilizing the manufacturing Master Plan: develops production schedules for
work in these departments and is responsible for adherence to that schedule to help insure that goods meet the sewing plant customers' quality standards and shipped on time; using Exenta and Eton systems to plan and monitor the production schedule to meet the production's goal.
Designs, maintains and reports on key performance indicators by area as required.
Maintains record-keeping to provide upper management with information as necessary.
Evaluates performance, payroll, work in process, and any other pertinent or
specific feedback.
Ensures that personnel receive the proper training, motivation, education to
perform the work required.
Insures optimal cost control, inventory control, quality control, production control.

When outside capacity is deemed necessary, and cost parameters are established by
upper Management; will be responsible for locating and maintaining, along with the
Quality Control department, contractors, or subcontractors with which to place the overflow or specialized work that meet our standards of quality, delivery, and comply with accepted local practices for apparel production.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Is directly responsible for the supervision and direction of the Lead Production and Production Supervisors.
Education and/or Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering. Also requires three (3) years of experience in the apparel industry; one (1) of those years at the level managing large numbers of production workers and line supervisors.

Language Skills:
Must read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Spanish is a plus.
