- Provide technical understanding of developmental technologies and their application to evolving warfighter needs in collaboration with the requirements generation community.
- Remain conversant with government laboratories and industry primes and their suppliers regarding application of developmental technologies to those warfighter needs.
- Provide Early Systems Engineering expertise in development of weapons concepts to meet identified operational capability gaps.
- Provide analytical expertise in the design and execution of analysis plans to assess legacy and developmental weapons concepts for their ability to close operational capability gaps.
- Support technology maturity level, manufacturing readiness level, acquisition risk assessment, and cost estimation teams in developing assessments for weapon systems analyses and integrates those assessments with effectiveness analysis to provide most effective and most cost-effective solution(s) recommendations.
- Support the division, branch, and project team meetings on weapons capability development.
- Interface with Government and industry stakeholders to meet program objectives.
- Provide analytical expertise to development of PEO Weapons and Air Force munitions Roadmaps.
- Address impacts of policies on capability development guidance on the weapons enterprise
- A U.S
- An active DoD Top Secret security clearance w/ SCI Eligibility (TS/SCI)
- A BS in Engineering, Operations Research, or Applied Mathematics (ABET accredited) with fifteen (15) years relevant experience;
- OR a MS in Engineering, Operations Research, or Applied Mathematics (ABET accredited) with ten (10) years relevant experience
- Statistical analysis
- Operations analysis though mathematical modeling
- Engagement- and Mission-level modeling and simulation
- Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Experience in application of Design of Experiments (DoE) to complex ground and airborne weapon systems
- Comprehensive understanding of roles and responsibilities of DoD and USAF requirements, technology development, capability development, and acquisition organizations
