    Description

    Job Title: Store Associate

    We are seeking a Store Associate to join our team at GIANT Food Stores.

    About the Role:

    This role is responsible for ensuring that our store runs smoothly and efficiently. As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for tasks such as bagging items at checkout, restocking shelves, collecting carts, and maintaining a clean store environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Bag items at checkout and put bags into carts
    • Restock shelves and maintain a clean store environment
    • Collect carts from the parking lot and stack them in the cart corral
    • Demonstrate good customer service skills and respond to customer inquiries
    • Complete other duties as assigned by management

    Requirements:

    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
    • Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations
    • Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements for the position
    • Must be able to use equipment and tools required for the job
    • Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days

    Working Conditions:

    • Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more depending upon business needs
    • Job cycles: continual maximum
    • Lift/carry: up to 50 lbs.
    • Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%

    Compensation:

    $15-$20 per hour, based on experience.
