    Manager, Finance Business Services - Blue Forest

    Position Purpose

    The primary purpose of the Finance Business Services Manager (FBS) - Blue Forest Global role is to establish and manage the billing function for both internal and external sales within Brambles, particularly focusing on the emerging capabilities of Blue Forest billing for North America, Latin America and Europe.

    The critical objective of this role is to strategically determine the optimal billing structure for Blue Forest to ensure its scalability and efficacy as transaction volumes continue to rise. Additionally, the role will clarify ownership of processes, guide new system development, and drive enhancements to streamline and optimize the billing function across Brambles' operations by delivering a clear pricing policy and governance framework.

    Blue Forest is a Strategic program in Brambles will be dedicated to timber trading globally. Blue Forest will become the sole supplier of timber for Brambles and will also develop commercial relationships with external parties

    Major/Key Accountabilities

    • Lead a team in delivering complete, accurate, and timely updates related to customer mater data, pricing, invoice creation, goods receipt, billing, dispute resolution.
    • Drive a Customer Experience culture within the team.
    • Ensure the KPI build-out and that the team meets or exceeds all KPIs, internal service level expectations, and customer requirements while ensuring proper controls and measures are followed for quality results.
    • Partner with all applicable regions to understand, develop and govern processes for unique regional regulatory, tax and any other compliance related or applicable requirements.
    • Coordinate Indexation processes and mass pricing changes.
    • BCP planning and Implementation
    • Manage team of Analysts, overseeing operational activities to ensure accuracy & timeliness of outputs, updates and invoice processing. Acts as escalation point for customer issues to drive quick & thorough resolution.
    • Ensure accurate and timely pricing, invoice and account admin outputs through validation approvals while maintaining proper controls and compliance.
    • Develop direct reports through the establishment of Individual Development Plans specific to each individual. Cross train team members to enhance their skills and provide cover in the event of critical absences. Establish team objectives, monitor and communicate progress, address personnel quality issues and take corrective action when necessary. Develop succession planning for the team.
    • Work collaboratively with all business functions to provide insights regarding the impact of cross-functional business changes to systems as well as the impact of systems changes on all business functions and processes. Provide valuable input on options and solutions to best meet all business needs.
    • Design and implement needed process controls and measures to ensure that core processes are effectively controlled from a quality perspective, risks mitigated, and that systemic process issues are identified and corrected to achieve error-free documents, set-ups pricing, and invoicing.
    • Lead (Primary contact) and participate in projects and business process improvements for your function and cross-functionally utilizing six sigma, lean, and project management methodologies. Identify and communicate solutions and ensure proposed solutions are realized.
    • Identifies opportunities for automated solutions, including BlueView, BXB and System enhancements and Robotic Process Automation

    Essential Qualifications
    • Bachelors degree in Business or related field or equivalent work experience
    • People leadership experience
    • Desirable Qualifications - Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt certification
    Experience
    • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally for problem resolution, process improvements, and projects
    • Leading and directing activities of front-line personnel & successful coaching for improved performance
    • Strong SAP knowledge, Salesforce, and Business Warehouse experience required

    • Use of lean and six sigma tools including process flow diagrams, value stream maps and metrics to identify & opportunities for process improvements
    Skills and Knowledge
    • Highly proficient in ERP/SAP technical skills with the understanding of building to-be automated requirements. Additional, key software, including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), SAP, BW, Salesforce CRM.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations and cross-functional collaboration for all levels in the organization and strong listening and negotiation skills. Ability to translate and communicate complex and abstract issues so they can be easily understood
    • Proven change management skills. Must be able to function well in a cross-functional and high-activity environment.
    • Highly organized with ability to multi-task and re-prioritize based on changing business and customer needs.
    • Excellent planning skills with the ability to work under pressure and quickly develop and execute a plan amongst ever changing priorities
    • Mentor and developer of people, who is capable of building a high performance team
    • Strong decision maker, able to and comfortable with pushing back organizationally when necessary.
    • Solid understanding of business process analysis techniques, process metrics, and performance measurement
    • Capable of understanding technical application structures supporting their areas of expertise and of understanding the impact of technical changes on business processes (multiple applications and platforms involved).
    • Self-starter, able to work independently with minimum supervision
    • Proven project management skills with demonstrated ability to drive projects that require cross-functional resources
    • Strong business and financial acumen
