Description

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for procurement and data analysis? We're looking for a talented individual to join our team and play a pivotal role in our software acquisition process.

Primary Job Functions:

Daily Operations:

Collaborate with the software procurement team to execute data analysis tasks supporting procurement transactions.
Facilitate the approval and funding process for software acquisition requests.
Analyze contract and licensing metrics to construct compelling business cases regarding cost and value.
Engage in negotiation processes, gradually gaining proficiency and influence over time.

Project Involvement:

Manage multiple purchase requests of varying complexity levels, gathering necessary information to navigate Charter's procurement processes.
Tackle tasks at different stages of completion within Charter's procedural framework.
Coordinate with team members to address their requests efficiently, while maintaining meticulous tracking of commitments and completion status.

MUST HAVE Skillsets:

Enterprise Procurement Experience:

Demonstrated experience in enterprise-level procurement, including familiarity with risk management, governance, and control activities.
Previous involvement in organizations with a Chief Procurement Officer and a legal department.

Contract Analysis and Data Proficiency:

Ability to analyze contracts and procurement-related data effectively.

Vendor Engagement Expertise:

Experience working with major software publishers such as Microsoft or Oracle, coupled with a strong grasp of technology and a willingness to continually expand knowledge in the field.
Capability to elucidate the functionalities and business implications of software solutions purchased from diverse vendors.

Advanced Excel Skills:

Proficiency in Excel, particularly in working with pivot tables and merge tables, and utilizing functions like XLOOKUP and INDEX.

Organizational Proficiency:

Strong organizational skills, enabling efficient tracking of progress and commitments.

Nice to Have Skillsets:

Financial Acumen:

Background in finance with an understanding of concepts such as the time value of money, providing insight into the financial implications of procurement decisions.

Certifications:

CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) certification would be advantageous.

Advanced Degree:

Master's degree or equivalent in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field from a reputable institution.
