    JOB SUMMARY:
    The Production Engineer provides technical expertise, diagnostics, and problem resolutions as part of their day-to-day responsibilities.

    The Production Engineer will work closely with production staff to ensure manufacturing, materials, production equipment, and systems work as efficiently as possible.


    Main duties include developing new products for companies or individuals to use, establish product standards, enforcing overall quality and safety and designing new products to improve organizational efficiency.


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Design, build/assemble, and maintain the Kanaflex original production equipment, dies and tools for Hose and Pipe.

    Investigate, Design, and manage processing in house or outsource of new die, production equipment, automation tools, and gadgets for work safe environment.

    Cooperate with Engineering Division for creating new products/equipment.
    Investigates, establishes, and implements additional feature and requirements for equipment, tooling, materials, and methods of manufacturing.
    Establishes production standards and trains personnel in effective, safe operating methods.
    Communicate domestic and international vendors to secure necessary parts and equipment.
    Develops project budgets and monitors expenses.
    Troubleshoots, identifies, monitors, and corrects issues of automation and fixtures.

    Duties and responsibility may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

    EDUCATIONBachelor's or associate degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, or related engineering field.

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREDExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.

    Strong leadership abilities, decision-making skills, and familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies (A3).Proficiency in blueprint reading and the use of hand and power tools.

    Ability to work with instruments and accurately interpret provided electric wiring diagrams.
    Proficient in basic metalworking tasks including cutting, welding, and operating lathe and milling machines.
    Experience with CAD software and proficiency in MS Office.
    Minimum of 3 years of experience working with various precision machines.

    EXPERIENCE PERFFEREDExperience with PVC, Rubber, Urethane, HDPE Hose and/or Pipe extrusion industries.

    Experience in Product quality and compliance control, such as ISOAbility to create and modify 3D models based on provided specificationsAbility to program and work with sequencer for digital production system,A solid understanding of electric diagrams, and the capability to reverse engineer electric diagrams.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to sit. They may occasionally to rarely, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

    Ability to travel via a variety of methods including but not limited to:
    Automobile, Air, and Rail. Requires some business travel to various pipe plants and foundry operations.

    Therefore, they will be briefly exposed to the following working conditions:
    Extreme heat and cold, loud noise, vibration, oils, and atmospheric conditions such as dust, fumes, and metallic particles. The employee may need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.


    TRAVEL REQUIRED:

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    The work environment includes a general office environment with low noise, travel to different areas with different weather conditions.
