About The Sales Representative Position
Are you an eager sales professional adept at hunting for new business and achieving or exceeding sales goals? Life Safety Services is seeking to fill several Sales Representative positions.
The Inside Sales Representatives will hunt for new business, call on renewals, follow up on inquiries from potential customers and be key to helping the Sales Team reach its overall sales goals.
Ideal candidates for these positions will have sales or telephone sales experience and have a desire to grow their sales career with Life Safety Services.
The Sales Representatives will work from the corporate offices in Louisville, Kentucky and have daily access to experts in the passive fire protection industry.
The Sales Representatives will sell our services to commercial and healthcare facilities in Southern California, Southern Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico and in Northern California, Northern Nevada, Colorado and Utah.
The individuals in this role will work M-F in the corporate office from 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. (EST).The Inside Sales Representatives responsible for selling LSS services in these territories will report to the Director of Sales for the West.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Completes intensive sales training, learning all company services (inspection, installation and repair of fire and smoke dampers, fire doors, rolling and overhead doors and firestop installation and repair in existing commercial and healthcare facilities and commercial duct cleaning in healthcare facilities).
Hunts for new business, calls on renewals, follows up on inquiries with the goal of aggressively closing business in Southern California, Southern Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico.
Strives to understand and meet the needs of customers (commercial and healthcare facility managers) in Southern California, Southern Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico.
Drives new business development and sales by researching, qualifying, contacting, presenting and closing sales to new clients in assigned territory.
Continuously develops and maintains relationships with decision makers, understanding their needs and recommends ways to deliver value by using LSS and Hughes services.
Maintains and manages a pipeline of opportunities, including renewals.Ability to backfill sales duties for any member of the Sales Team.
Achieves or exceeds sales quotas and other company sales goals.
Regularly updates the Director of Sales for the West on progress towards achieving sales goals.
Consults with subject matter experts in Code and Compliance, Operations and other parts of the company on LSS and Hughes services.
Process sales orders and complete Purchasing Work Orders paying attention to detail and accuracy.Follows through on sold projects to ensure satisfactory completion.
Ensure a smooth "sales to operations" turnover and monitors progress, assists in resolving collections and other customer satisfaction issues as needed and stays involved with the customer to grow the Service Agreement when renewed by proposing customer valued services from the comprehensive LSS and Hughes portfolio.
Other duties as assigned.Experience and Requirements
Motivated by selling and the opportunity to earn commissions.
Commitment to learning the facility safety business and thriving in selling the company's services.
Some familiarity with CRM, particularly Hubspot.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Demonstrated sales success.
Some experience selling services preferred.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Self-starter and able to work efficiently under pressure.
A desire to grow with the company.
Proficient in using MS Excel and Word.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Strong verbal, written, listening and in erpersonal skills; must be able to communicate effectively with various level of management, other staff, customers and outside vendors.
Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
The capacity/potential to lead other inside sales representatives would be a plus.
Education / Training Required
BA degree required; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Three or more years of proven success in telecommunication sales, outside sales and/or account and business development.
Self-starter and able to work efficiently under pressure
