    Description:


    Seeking a motivated, creative, and ambitiousComputer Engineerto join the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate (S3I) Joint Technology Center - Systems Integration Lab (JSIL) Tech Center in Huntsville, Alabama.


    The candidate will be part of a dynamic and multidisciplinary team developing advanced electrical and computer application solutions for the U.S.

    Army and Air Force Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)/Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Ground Control Stations.


    Responsibilities:


    • Contribute to system hardware and software architecture decisions based on customer performance, schedule, and cost requirements
    • Design electrical architecture and integrated systems for real-time, mission-critical systems including flight systems, sensors, and ground control stations
    • Perform hardware and software design/review/build cycles for prototype construction and implement plans for prototype testing at customer location
    • Troubleshoot network issues on virtual and physical switches and firewalls
    • Use scripting languages to develop automated network installation and configuration using Bash, PowerShell, Java, and Python
    • Develop engineering technical material including but not limited to System Description Documents, System requirements, Data Flow Documents, and Network Diagrams

    Required Skills:


    • Experience developing systems using Linux and Windows computing environments.
    • Experience with operating system virtualization utilizing Type I and II hypervisors (vSphere, KVM, VMWare Workstation)
    • Experience with containerization (i.e. Docker and/or Podman)
    • Experience with Cisco Systems, network administration and firewalls.
    • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
    • Experience with C, C++, and C# development.
    • Strong understanding of general computing system architectures and virtual machines.
    • Experience performing remote network configuration.
    • Must be a US Citizen
    • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

    Desired Skills:


    • Active Secret security clearance
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security+ SE and a Network+ SE
    • Experience with data center architectures (cluster computing, fault-tolerant, or high availability system)
    • Experience writing technical documentation
    • Experience creating automated systems
    • Experience deploying and maintaining container orchestrators such as Kubernetes

    Education and Experience:


    • Bachelor's degree or six (6) years of more of related experience
