This role supports Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital and Portland service area by providing education to clients with diabetes of all ages according to their individualized needs.
Responsibilities include health and education assessments, development of personalized plans taking into account psychosocial economic language barriers collaboration in a classroom or outpatient setting professional development community outreach.

Required Qualifications:

• Oregon Dietitian License upon hire
• National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration upon hire
• Three years experience in treatment and education of diabetes within the last 2 years
• Experience with current adult learning theory in relation to diabetes education
• Experience with clinical management of diabetes
