    In this role, you will have the opportunity to design and develop backend software for IoT cloud applications, for Fire, Refuse collection and Concrete mixer markets.


    YOUR IMPACT:


    Design and develop – Design, develop and test high quality software for web applications, backend services and APIs for IoT products for Fire, Refuse collection and Concrete mixer markets.

    Data management – Develop efficient data storage and analysis, enabling real time insights from IoT devices.
    Quality Assurance – Ensure high software quality through rigorous testing and development of automated unit tests.
    Application Management - Use Atlassian tool chain to maintain and improve existing software platform.
    Technical support – Provide technical assistance to fellow engineers and other departments as needed.

    Cross functional Collaboration - Collaborate with embedded software engineers, product owner, product manager and participate in code reviews, story refinement, and other engineering activities.

    Value Delivery – Incorporate SAFe/Agile principles for value delivery in short increments.


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
    3 or more years of experience developing APIs, backend services and modern web front ends.
    Experience in C#, Python, Java, Go or similar programming language.
    Experience using cloud technologies like AWS, Docker, or Azure.
    Experience in front end stack (JavaScript, HTML5, Angular, ReactJS or similar).
    Experience in SQL (e.g., SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Redis)
    Experience working with CICD tools and test automation.


    STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:
    Experience high scale automotive or heavy-duty IoT vehicle industry.
    Experience with MQTT and other IoT messaging systems.
    Experience with time series database and handling of large volumes of IoT data.
    Experience deploying to containers (Kubernetes, Docker, EKS) using CI/CD methodology.
    Experience developing cyber secure software (ISO
    Strong problem-solving skills and communication skills.
    Experience working in SAFe, Scrum or Agile environment.
    Ability to thrive in a startup like culture, excels in ambiguous situations, and embraces technical challenges.
