Job Summary:
To perform routine duties to assist in laboratory functions.
Essential Functions:

Sample tanks, trucks and other vessels for juice, fermenting juice and wine
Help to clean and organize laboratory workspaces
Dispose of used samples and glass
Perform sample collection
Prepare agar media for microbiological filter plating
Process grape and juice samples for analysis
Stock laboratory inventory such as glass and testing supplies
Breakdown cardboard and manage lab recycling
Assist in clerical/administrative duties
Work safely and maintain a clean work environment
Chemical preparation of standards, reagents, buffers, acids, bases
Familiarity and compliance with the ISO Quality System, including the ISO Food Safety & Quality Policy
Food Safety Responsibility: Report problems with the food safety system to supervisor
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma, emphasis in science and college units preferred
Experience: not required, winery or production experience preferred
Ability to take direction, communicate effectively and work well with a team
Ability to follow instructions and take direction
Flexibility to respond to frequently changing production demands and deadlines
Valid California Driver's license and clean DMV report
Working Conditions:
Moderate physical work with some outdoor exposure
Extensive walking and lifting of up to 55 pounds
Work site may be any one of Trinchero Family Estates' facilities
Working on various shifts including early morning and swing
Long and irregular hours during peak periods
Standing for long periods of time (8 hours per day)
Comply with all personal protective equipment requirements including lab coat, footwear, ear plugs and safety glasses
Exposure to various chemicals, forklifts, machinery and moving parts in lab and production areas
Salary Range: $ $24.50
The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location.
