    Description

    Mindbank Consulting Group anticipates a need for a Systems Architect to support a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Division of HIV Prevention (DHP) IT Systems Development, Maintenance, Enhancement, and Support opportunity.

    This position is fully remote within the United States. Candidates must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents and will undergo a background investigation before starting work. Candidates with an active Public Trust are encouraged to apply . Salary range is $125,000 - $155,000 .


    Systems Architect Responsibilities:

    Demonstrate knowledge of open systems architectures, the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) and ISO reference models, and standards such as the IEEE Open Systems Environment (OSE) reference model.

    Recommend technologies, turn-key solutions and COTS products in coordination with CDC OCIO staff to deploy systems, and continuously reviewing the planned and implemented systems.

    Coordinate with CDC OCIO staff to deploy DHP systems on the CDC network according to enterprise operating standards.

    Continuously review the planned and implemented DHP information/data systems to achieve data standardization and harmonization among related systems or with other CDC systems capturing similar data.

    Ensure that the common operating environment is compliant with the Agency enterprise architecture and applicable reference models.
    Evaluate analytically and systematically problems of workflows, organization, and planning and develop appropriate corrective action.

    Collaborate with other stakeholders, such as software developers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure that the system architecture aligns with the overall goals and requirements of the project.

    Manage / oversight of teams.

    System Architect Minimum Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master's Degree is a plus.

    Minimum of four (4) years of IT systems experience with software development projects and a solid foundation in programming, algorithms, data structures, and systems design.

    Additionally, four (4) years of experience in establishing system information requirements.
    Three (3) years supervisory or team lead experience is a plus.
    Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information.
    Familiarity and experience with CDC and Division of HIV Prevention (DHP) is a plus.
    Ability to communicate effectively, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, customers, and leadership.
    Strong attention to detail.
    Ability to react smartly and effectively to needs and priorities.
    Must demonstrate honesty, integrity, and appreciation of differing opinions and perspectives, and be responsible, accountable, and collaborative.
