    Job Overview

    You will be responsible for financial reporting, technical accounting, internal controls (SOX), and analysis of financial results for Corporate Accounting.

    This includes requirements of publicly traded companies, including participation in SEC filings and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).

    Responsibilities:

    • General ledger accounting corporate office cost centers including preparation of journal entries and monthly accounting close process, including such areas as debt and interest expense, lease accounting, annual incentive compensation, capitalized software, and treasury accounting (debt, derivatives, investments, etc.)
    • Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
    • Issue and reconcile intercompany expense allocations
    • Work with corporate department heads to assist in understanding monthly spend, performance vs. budget, including preparing ad hoc analyses
    • Prepare quarter end and year end reporting
    • Perform independent tie-out control for quarterly reporting
    • Review/coordination of accounting for certain corporate legal entities
    • Participation in annual corporate budget process, including co-developing budgets with corporate department managers, review with management, and loading into consolidation system
    Requirements

    • 4-year accounting degree or commensurate (masters a plus)
    • 2+ years' audit experience in public accounting with some publicly held clients OR
    • 2+ years' corporate accounting in a publicly held company
    • CPA or CPA candidate
    • Strong computer skills including detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience working with ERP and consolidation software
