The Service Technician assumes responsibility for the maintenance and repair of heating, refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation systems associated with the company's products and services. The role emphasizes adherence to company standards of quality workmanship and professionalism while fostering positive, enduring client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a courteous, tidy appearance and adhere to uniform standards consistently.
• Execute repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and professionally, ensuring profitability.
• Seek assistance promptly if unable to diagnose a problem within specified timeframes.
• Follow proper procedures for documentation, including timecards, work orders, and electronic records.
• Complete all required paperwork before concluding each job and submit it on Salesforce.
• Collect customer payments according to established policies.
• Maintain accurate inventory of service truck supplies and promptly notify Warehouse Manager of required parts.
• Ensure the cleanliness and functionality of the service vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly to their manager.
• Safeguard and report deficiencies in company-issued tools.
• Collaborate with the Service Manager on matters exceeding individual authority or capability.
• Remain available for after-hours emergency service and on-call duties as required.
• Encourage customer participation in service agreement programs and promote sales initiatives.
• Adhere to EPA and company policies regarding refrigerants and environmental regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong verbal communication skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience in refrigeration pipefitting and installation.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and a commitment to professionalism in all tasks.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of trade school or similar vocational training.
• Possession of Type I and II C.F.C certification.
• N.A.T.E. certification for Core, with Specialty certification preferred.
• Willingness to pursue additional knowledge and training specific to service technician duties.

Physical Demands and Working Environment:

• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 60 pounds overhead.
• Comfort with working at heights and climbing ladders up to 40 feet.
• Capability to work outdoors in temperatures ranging from 0 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Familiarity with working on AC/DC voltage systems ranging from 1 m.a. to 500 volts.
