    Description

    Job Title: CT Technologist I

    About the Role:

    The CT Technologist I performs procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. Operates CT Scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Verify patient orders and consult with Radiologists when necessary
    • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and documenting medical history
    • Administer IV contrast according to departmental protocols
    • Evaluate image quality and consult with Radiologists as needed
    • Perform basic patient care functions and inform nursing staff of any changes in patient condition
    • Operate radiology computer system to enter orders and charge procedures/supplies

    Requirements:

    Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology required. ARRT certification in Radiology, or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicineand advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire required in addition to current CPR certification.

    Work Environment:

    This position requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment and supplies. Occasional standing, walking, and sitting during normal operation.
