    Description

    **This Position is Eligible for a Sign-On Bonus of $2,000**

    $1,000 payable on next scheduled paycheck following 30 days of employmentand

    $1,000 payable at the completion of the conditional employment period which is typically six months in length.

    Sign-On Bonus payment will be subject to required payroll taxes

    Must work 20 or more hours per week to be eligible

    Employee must be in good standing and active status to be eligible for payment

    Minimum Salary: $66,268.80

    Maximum Salary: Commensurate With Experience

    This is a grant-funded position. Ongoing employment is based on continued grant funding.

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    MST Supervisor. Seeking an individual with supervisory and leadership experience, as well as strong mental health clinical training and experience to lead a team of 3-4 therapists in implementing Multisystemic Therapy (MST). MST is a well-researched community-based treatment model directed at youth involved in criminal activity and their family. Interested persons may locate information about this treatment model on the internet at Duties include clinical and administrative supervision for therapists on team, liaison with key collaborating agencies and with leadership inside the provider organization, providing ongoing evaluation and staff development for therapists, and interfacing with MST expert consultants. Must be available to support therapists implementing MST 24-hours per day, 7 days per week with backup from other agency or program supervisory staff. Specific experience in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy and behaviorally-based marital and drug treatment therapy is preferred. Two-three years of clinical supervisory-level experience preferred. Competitive salary matched to experience of applicant.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Carry clinical and administrative supervisory responsibilities for 1 MST teams of 4 therapists.
    • Conduct weekly group supervision and training for MST team to assure adherence to MST principles and the MST analytic process, and to assure clinician competency in implementation of interventions.
    • Conduct individual supervision as needed to target clinician competency needs and to remove individual barriers to effective implementation of MST treatment.
    • Assure availability of clinical and administrative support to clinicians 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders, both external in the community and within the provider agency.
    • Promote and educate about MST with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Generate and manage case referrals and manage clinician caseloads.
    • Collaborate actively with MST Expert around implementation of MST by the program, and to ensure continued development of own clinical skills and knowledge of relevant research.
    • Manage and report data on clinical outcomes and program practices.
    • Deliver MST to a caseload of 1-2 families, as required to address program needs.
    • Must be available 24/7 to provide support to therapists implementing MST.
    • Must stay compliant with all required training.
    • Work behavior must be compatible with Center value statement.
    • Performs related work as assigned.
    • Demonstrate high ethical standards, trustworthiness, and personal integrity. Regular attendance, dependability, and promptness are required for the 8-5 work day or agreed upon hours 100% of the time, to ensure consistency and completeness of program's processes.
    • Professional Development - Successfully complete training required to maintain skill competency and cross training to ensure consistency across program procedures. Complete continuing education as required by professional standards and the Center.
    GENERAL QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
    Experience/Education/Licensing/Certification
    • Highly skilled Masters-preparedprofessionalwith training in behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapies and pragmatic family therapies (i.e., Structural Family Therapy and Strategic Family Therapy). Professional licensure as LPC-Associate, LMFT-Associate, or LMSW under clinical supervision required, full licensure as an LPC, LMFT, LCSW preferred.
    Preferred Experience
    • Professional licensure as an LP, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT (LPHA).
    • Significant clinical experience in treating serious antisocial behavior in youth
    • Direct use of pragmatic (i.e., structural, strategic and functional) family therapies
    • Individual therapy with adolescents and adults using cognitive behavioral techniques
    • Marital therapy using behaviorally-based approaches
    • Behavioral therapy targeting school behavior and academic performance
    • Implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youth's natural ecology that affect or influence the behavior of youth (i.e., family, peer, school, and neighborhood)
    • Provision of group and individual clinical supervision
    • Leadership role including hiring, performance evaluation, and holding supervisees accountable for performance
    • Training and collaboration with outside agencies
    • Bilingual: English and Spanish

    • Ability to proficiently utilize computer programs, e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Skill in interviewing.
    • Ability to see, hear and talk effectively within job requirements.
    • Ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods.
    • Ability to effectively handle potentially aggressive behavior in a positive manner.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

    • Ability to perform tasks effectively and efficiently.
    • Ability to plan and schedule work and implement directives without constant supervision.

    • Ability to work cooperatively and productively with supervisor, individuals, co-workers, and groups of persons at all levels of activity, contributing to a strong spirit of teamwork.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, other agencies and the general public using tact, courtesy and good judgment.
    Additional Requirements
    • Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record to travel to client's homes and possibly transport multiple clients at once.
    • Regular attendance and reliability is critical to business operations.
