    Primary Function:

    Flavor compounders will pour raw materials from specified containers following batch sheet instructions in order to manufacture a desired flavor. Must have the ability to follow directions in a GMP/food safety and secure environment. Will be trained and competent to our company HACCP plan and will have complete understanding of all control and critical control points.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Dispensing and packaging finished product and or intermediates approved by QC
    • Involved in all areas of processing compounds: mixing, filtering, heating, sampling, and chilling.
    • Check materials for color, order, and other characteristics, following formula instructions for the compound.
    • Dispense raw materials to complete finished products: This shall include; verifying container type on order, locating and verifying raw materials to match order and labels, generating product samples labels, inspecting exterior and interior of containers before filling/pouring and handling, subdividing repack.
    • reports problems to management. Requires attention to detail and must work closely with management to ensure customer deadlines are met.
    • Maintain a clean work environment.
    • Operate forklift and hi-lo's in a safe manner.
    • Follows all safety policies, procedures, GMP's and maintains an orderly and clean work area..

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Ability to operate a forklift, scales, mixers, computer, and drum dumper.
    • Ability to determine if materials are satisfactory for use or if quality has deteriorated.
    • Interpret job requirements from batch sheets and oral communication.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift 55 lbs.

    Ability to push/pull drums with the help of equipment.

    Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
