    Job Summary
    As a Controls Engineer at Smalley, you will be involved in designing and programming machines. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth integration and optimal performance of automated systems. Join us in making a direct impact through your coding skills and contribute to our automation process.
    Responsibilities
    • Design engineering systems for industrial task automation
    • Design electromechanical systems
    • Create mechanical design documents
    • Review layouts for production optimization
    • Recommend technical improvements
    • Implement design solutions
    • Provide cost estimates for process enhancements
    • Responsible for quality improvement and cost reduction
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives
    Requirements
    • Proficiency in multi-axis motion controllers
    • Experience with IEC 61131 programming languages
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing
    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
    • Strong knowledge of mechatronics, robotics, and automation systems
    • Ability to troubleshoot and test automation systems
    • Basic knowledge of Allen-Bradley hardware/software
    • Consult with suppliers for installations
    • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives
    • Strong analytical and multitasking skills
