Job summary
The youth counselor supports youth experiencing a mental health crisis in our children's crisis settings. This service is designed to support youth in the community instead of them living in a hospital, hotel or detention center.Maintaining appropriate boundaries with clients at all time and ensuring client safety by implementing necessary behavior interventions as described in their therapeutic support plan.
Responsibilities
- Engage with client daily activities and manage behavior according to client's individual plan and needs.
- Maintain open communication with your coworkers and contribute to a healthy work environment by supporting each other in meeting the needs of the clients served.
- Ensure fire and weather drills are completed according to licensing determined frequency unless delegated where appropriate.
