    Position: Senior Bus Driver

    Salary: $20.00 per hour

    Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours weekly. Hours vary between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. to meet program needs

    Location: Walton, New York

    Responsibilities: To assist in the day-to-day operation of the Transportation Department, Bus drivers and Passenger services. Train CDL Bus Drivers.

    Job duties:

    • Recruit new drivers
    • Serve as a proactive liaison with day programs, etc
    • Assist during loading and unloading of buses. Demonstrates safe and correct use of wheelchair lifts, seat belts, Q-Straints, etc.
    • Performs daily pre-check and post-check of bus, reports all mechanical problems and needed repairs.
    • Proficient in use of emergency equipment, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, emergency exits, etc.
    • Responsible for accurate record keeping, including but not limited to pre-trip reports, attendance reports, contract sheets, gas receipts, etc.
    • Responsible for conducting evacuation drills on a semi-annual basis for assigned routes.

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
    • CDL Class B or C License
    • Bus Driver for 2 years required
    • Valid New York drivers license for three years
    • DOT Physical & Drug screening required (pd by agency)
    • CPR Certification & 1st Aid or willingness to obtain.
    • Pass all Pre-employment checks
    • Ability to lift 60 lbs.
