Description
My client is seeking a Senior Systems Simulation Engineer to support our fuel cell engine development programs.This role will be responsible for owning and developing internal simulation suites accelerating development, understanding, and ultimately verification of new fuel cell products .
This role will mentor and guide junior simulation engineers in the development of the same.Essential Job Responsibilities:
as a leader by example of a systems-driven engineering design process
conceptual engine design activities, leading trade studies that help guide both system, subsystem, and stack development activities to maximize product value
toolsets to accelerate system development and justify requirements flow-down to lower levels of system abstraction.
and develop software modules simulating behavior of fuel cell products, subsystems, and components.
roadmaps for software modules to guide development over time
verification plans and organize verification efforts around developed software
toolchains that accelerate the transformation of modelling results into functional or architectural requirements
health of project repositories, inclusive of documentation and unit test generation/maintenance
junior simulation engineers in programming and engineering practice
end-users in the use of developed software/tools
Required Job Qualifications (unless otherwise noted):
Educational Background
BS/MS in Software Engineering and/or Chemical Engineering
Previous Work Experience
10+ years in system simulation, chemical process simulation, and/or software engineering
Special Skills, Experience and Abilities
of working with steady-state and dynamic process modelling software (e.g. Aspen Plus, Modelica, DWSIM), and the APIs of the same
and architecting Python modules or applications (or their equivalent in other programming languages)
analytical, first-principles physics models and documenting assumptions and approach
in use of VCS software (git preferred)
to read P&IDs, electrical schematics
leadership, mentorship, communication, and presentation skills
