TITLE: LOW-VOLTAGE CABLING TECHNICIAN

TYPE: CONTRACT (3+ months)

LOCATION: LOS ANGELES, CA (5-10 MINUTES WEST OF DTLA)

HOURLY PAY: $25-$30/HR

Our client is a public agency located in the City of Los Angeles with an annual budget of over $1B.

ROLE: Our client is seeking an experienced Low-Voltage Cable Technician to improve and/or replace existing cabling for IT-related equipment.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS NEEDED:

• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals
• Ability to communicate with managers regarding job progress, issues, scope changes, etc.
• Pulling/terminating CAT6 cable needed in commercial buildings and office suites (pre-existing and new construction)
• Basic code knowledge for properly suspending cabling throughout ceilings
• Splitting, splicing, terminating connections
• Testing units and equipment, troubleshooting issues, testing connections, labeling
• Installing security camera systems
• Running audio cabling & installing speakers/ volume controls
• Mounting monitors/TVs
• Running HDMIs for monitors/TVs
