SummaryThe Sr. Financial Analyst reports to the Director of Finance. This position helps drive business results by providing decision support analysis to leaders in finance, operations, and other functions.
This role will be involved in annual planning, monthly forecasting, financial modeling, reporting, variance analysis, and participates in various ad-hoc projects and initiatives.
Primary ResponsibilitiesPartner closely with FP&A Manager on various FP&A department projects and objectives.
Collect, maintain, review, and analyze key metrics in multiple sources and assist in the development of financial reporting.
Develop and update highly complex financial models that align operating metrics of the organization.
Streamline data flow and automate the analysis process as needed.
Lead with monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate financial reporting duties, including support for earnings, auditors, and bank requirements.
Work with operating business unit leadership during monthly forecasting and annual budgeting process.
Provide support to various operating units in order to facilitate the flow of timely and accurate information, including client services, accounting, financial reporting, HR and operations.
Present financials, analysis and presentations to business leadership.Develop effective executive messaging and presentation materials.
Required Qualifications
7 years of financial analysis or accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in business related field
MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
2 years working in SaaS environment
Advanced understanding of billing intricacies
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Excellent understanding of accounting principals and levers for impacting financial metrics
Strong data mining and data automation skills
Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excell, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with financial reporting tools such as Adaptive, Hyperion Essbase, Cognos, etc.
Ability to provide and implement innovation and process improvement
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be self-motivating, hardworking, analytical and proactive
Must be an effective team member and able to work well with individuals at all levels
Overtime is required at quarter ends and flexibility is required during budget season
