As a Software Engineer Principal within PNC's Retail MIS organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, or Dallas, TX. or Birmingham, AL. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion.PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.
Below are the preferred skills:
• IBM Mainframe and TSO knowledge ( 5+ years of IBM Mainframe, JCL, COBOL, Assembler).
• Check system and deposit/payment transaction knowledge is needed. Knowledge of FTM (IBM Financial Transaction Manager) is desirable.
-Creation of posting transactions to applications. (Eg COR, FIS, IMA etc..)
• Problem resolution in the event of program/job issues in a timely manner for production support.
• Requests from applications for information on how deposits were processed.
• Ability to modify programs, test and validate mainframe programs.

Technical Troubleshooting – Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques, and the ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical (hardware, software, application or operational) problems.Work Experience
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. Specific certifications are often required.
