    Summary

    We're a very early-stage startup, and we're looking for someone who'd like to join us on the long journey of iteration, growth & success. Our first product, The Possible Studio, is focused on enabling creative writers to bring their storytelling to life. User experience is paramount to us, we spend a lot of time on intuitive UX design. We also leverage multiple asset pipelines including emerging AI technologies, integrated in a way so our users never have to think about them.

    Working as a Founding Frontend Developer at The Possible Company means being part of a highly collaborative & design focused team. This developer will work primarily with our UI in Typescript & React, which also uses Slate for rich-text editing and Liveblocks for real-time collaboration. They will also make incremental improvements to our middleware which is written in NodeJS. Finally, they'll help shape & evolve our culture and processes as we grow.

    This role will report to the CTO.

    What You'll Do
  • Develop new frontend features, fix bugs & integrate incremental improvements
  • Take full ownership of the structure, scalability, polish & performance of the UI
  • Work on Possible middleware services written in NodeJS
  • Be an active contributor in product design, planning & scrum processes
  • Take part in evolving the company & engineering culture

    What You'll Need
  • 5+ years of working experience with React or similar frameworks
  • 2+ years experience with API development in NodeJS
  • Experience working with public cloud services (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure or similar)
  • Experience working with microservices

    Location

    San Francisco Bay Area or U.S. Remote

    Local employees can be expected to work in person 1x per week, while some travel will be expected of remote employees to get in person facetime once every couple months or so.
