    We have an immediate opening for an Assistant Credit Manager role in our corporate headquarters in Tulsa, OK.

    Job Summary:

    Analyze credit data and financial statements of firms to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit.

    Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Manage the credit review, analysis, and approval process for commercial accounts in an established geographical area. The review process will include risk/reward considerations.
    • Use of D & B in the U.S. and Canada and other 3rd Party commercial data and analytics to evaluate accounts. Resource use of internet.
    • Initiate direct communication with customer senior managers to discuss their financial performance, request information and review payment terms.
    • Obtain bank and trade reference information through phone or email.
    • Manage the collection requirements for active accounts in an assigned area. Reconcile A/R, managing credit holds, terms, credit limits and disputes.
    • Initiate weekly collection reviews on all past due accounts based upon established terms, ensuring risk/reward considerations are included in all decisions.
    • Responsible for managing resolution of disputed invoices. Recommend escalation strategies to resolve disputes and/or risk concerns. When necessary, incorporate branch personnel into these strategies.
    • Responsible for monthly aging and past due reporting on assigned accounts as outlined by Management.
    • Propose adjustments as needed.
    • Manage the collection letter process for assigned area and Initiate credit hold and/or change of credit terms. Generate Pro Forma Invoices as required.
    • Special projects as assigned by Corporate Credit Manager.
    The Department hours are 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., some shift rotation may occur to cover staff PTO.

    Required skills and/or previous experience:
    • Associates degree in business, Finance or Accounting or minimum 5-years related experience in commercial credit and collection management.
    • Knowledge of Canadian credit and collection practices a plus.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise authority in identifying and resolving issues.
    • Computer literacy with proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Ability to work in a demanding environment, demonstrating extreme attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.
