    Description
    JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
    • Direct patient care provided under the guidance of a Registered Nurse within the CNA scope of practice. Clerical tasks performed as assigned within the department or patient care team.
    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    • Samaritan Wound Care focuses on treating acute or chronic wounds resulting from diabetes, surgery, injury, poor blood flow, and other underlying issues. The practice is physician-led, emphasizing wound, ostomy, and continence care, while integrating adjunctive therapies like vein medicine and hyperbaric medicine.
    EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
    • Preferred qualification: high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Required: Current unencumbered Oregon CNA Level 2 certification. Candidates with an active, unencumbered Oregon CNA certification may receive training for CNA2.
    • Mandatory healthcare provider level BLS certification.
    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
    • Adaptability and Flexibility - Quick response and appropriate actions in diverse or high-risk situations with different patient groups. Ability to adjust actions to provide the best possible patient care. Effective prioritization and execution of CNA duties.
    • Confidentiality - Awareness of State and Federal (HIPAA) laws on health information confidentiality. Compliance with regulations and maintenance of patient data confidentiality.
    • Patient Care - Proficiency in assisting and caring for individuals. Recognition of symptoms, drug interactions, treatments, and preventive healthcare measures within the scope of practice.
    • Service Orientation - Application of recovery models/resources knowledge to support and care for others.
    • Social Perceptiveness - Working with a diverse patient population across different age groups. Understanding age-related variances in patient care and communication. Possessing sensitivity and a non-judgmental attitude towards individuals of varying backgrounds and ages.
    • Stress Tolerance and Self Control - Ability to stay patient, composed, and maintain emotional control. Setting clear boundaries and handling high-stress situations effectively.
