    Description

    Job Title: Labor and Delivery RN

    We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join our team in Louisville, KY. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of recent acute care experience and possess strong clinical skills.

    About the Role:

    L&D Travel Nurses provide comprehensive care and support for women during the birthing process. As an L&D RN, you will be responsible for ensuring the medical and emotional needs of patients are met throughout labor and delivery.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Monitor patient throughout labor and provide emotional support
    • Assist physicians with epidurals, pain medications, episiotomies, and cesarean deliveries
    • Perform tasks such as cleaning beds, expelling bodily fluids, and aiding with delivery instruments
    • Provide immediate care to newborns

    Requirements:

    • 3 years of recent acute care experience
    • ACLS, BLS, NIH, AWHONN, STABLE, NRP certifications

    The ideal candidate will possess excellent coping skills, be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds, and be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Additionally, they should be able to easily lift 20 pounds and potentially lift up to 50 pounds when moving or lifting patients.

    Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
