    Description

    Adelinas Restaurant & Bar, the newest addition to Chestnut Hills' dining scene, is on the lookout for a skilled and dedicated Chef to join our team and contribute to our success with a competitive salary of up to $95,000.

    • Capable of offering guidance and assistance to team members.
    • Engages actively in the day-to-day kitchen operations.
    • Works closely with the Front of House team to ensure a memorable dining experience for all guests.

    Experience and Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chef in high-volume ITALIAN restaurants.
    • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.
    • Skilled in motivating, inspiring, and nurturing team members.
    • Proven track record in building and leading successful teams.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in dealings with guests, staff, and management.

    Responsibilities & Duties:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for Back of House operations, maintaining open communication with Ownership at all times.
    • Manage scheduling with flexibility to meet operational needs.
    • Create and uphold a weekly schedule that supports operational requirements for service and prep tasks.
    • Ensure food quality by holding vendors accountable and notifying the Purchasing Department of any issues.
    • Monitor and control food and labor costs for Back of House.
    • Oversee inventory of Back of House uniforms.
    • Review and verify payroll and labor reports before the deadline for accurate staff compensation.
    • Enforce compliance with policies and procedures related to recruitment, discipline, and wage policies.
    • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and organization, leading the team in maintaining tidy workstations and equipment.
    • Cultivate a culture of respect for the workspace and equipment among team members.
    • Capable of stepping into any hourly Back of House position if needed.
    • Collaborate effectively with Front of House and other leaders to ensure efficient store operations.
    • Take proactive measures to minimize overtime costs.
