Join us as we continue to innovate, inspire, and make history in the world of aerospace and defense. Senior Manager of the F-35 Production Engineering Tooling Team located in Fort Worth, Texas. Responsible for leading the Manufacturing Engineering team members supporting all Fort Worth tooling activity and international stand-up and support. What You Will Be Doing

    Responsible for leading Manufacturing Engineering:

    • Direct support of Production Engineering and Production Operations tooling needs, managing new design tool orders, corrective action implementation/mistake proofing, rate requirements, engineering change incorporation, and repairs.
    • Execution of root cause analysis and corrective action solutions to ensure high first pass yield on tool trial run execution.
    • International tooling and line standup to include Finland component and potentially Switzerland FACO activity.

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • Provide vision and guidance to the Tooling Production Engineering team aligned to current strategy framework to consistently deliver value while embracing and demonstrating Culture of Accountability (COA) principles.
    • Implement the business methodology, processes, and tempo which drives the organization to project completion.
    • Manage recurring allocation budgets for assigned personnel along with other discrete projects to required targets.
    • Provide a high level of technical engagement and aircraft assembly knowledge to assist in issue resolution and corrective action.
    • Drive successful results by defining and maintaining metrics to measure performance both with leading and lagging indicators.
    • Direct weekly interaction with multiple core and supporting organizations, executive leadership, and customer contacts.
    • Develop and maintain strategic plan for manufacturing tooling execution.
    • Travel may be required in support of Marietta partner alignment along with international standup execution.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Experience leading
    • Experience building / managing teams, meeting goals, and/or setting goals.
    • 5+ years of Production Engineering, Design Engineering, Tooling, Facilities, or Production Operations experience.
    • Project Management and decision making experience utilizing business and financial acumen.

    Desired Skills:

    • International experience in the aircraft industry to include standup execution, root cause/corrective action efforts, build team support, engineering change execution, or tooling management.
    • Knowledge of Lockheed Martin Aero tooling practices and execution.
    • Demonstrated positive employee engagement with utilization of Culture of Accountability (COA) principles.
    • Able to effectively communicate the need for change and motivate teams to drive improvements to meet organizational goals.
    • Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at the Lockheed Martin executive and customer level.
    • Complex problem solving skills through ingenuity and innovation.
    • Earned Value Management knowledge, Control Account Manager (CAM) experience, or Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS) Manager experience.
    • Experience performing and managing producibility and affordability improvements.
    • Knowledge of Lean Principles and Continuous Improvement Techniques.
    • Technical knowledge of F35 designs, manufacturing plans, tooling, planning, and capital funding processes.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

    Ability to Work Remotely:
    Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules:
    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
