- Litigate: Lead litigation and arbitration matters, from investigation through discovery and mediation or trial. Conduct witness interviews, depositions, motions practice, and arbitration/trial presentations.
- Handle agency charges, government audits, and demand letters.
- Provide advice on a range of employment issues, including wage and hour, benefits, hiring, performance management, investigations, leaves of absence, discipline, terminations, and employee privacy.
- Collaborate with various departments on employment compliance matters such as wage and hour audits, compliance initiatives, and training support.
- Stay updated on employment-related legislation and communicate recommendations.
- Work may involve travel based on health advisories.
- 8+ years of employment law experience, including California wage and hour litigation.
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; must be a member of the California Bar.
- Extensive experience in employment litigation and knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- Experience in class/collective actions and single-plaintiff cases.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, strong communication skills, and a good judgment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, team player, good business judgment.
- Positive attitude, love for the legal profession.
