- Use established outcomes measures to evaluate the effectiveness of care.
- Provide leadership to achieve desired outcomes for the department and the Medical Center.
- Perform and/or demonstrate proficiency in: Routine EEG, ICU monitoring, Epilepsy monitoring, Cortical mapping, identification of waveform artifact, antiepileptic medication and medication that alters the EEG, workup for epilepsy surgery, and neuroanatomy.
- Facilitate departmental and/or organizational educational goals and initiatives.
- Assure that areas of responsibility adhere to relevant safety, regulatory, certification, and/or accreditation standards.
- Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited program of Electroneurodiagnostic (END) technology or the equivalent and registered as an EEG Technician by ABRET required and must be maintained.
- Three years of EEG Technician work experience required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA-recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Providers.
- Night Shift: 7 pm-7:30 am

Position Summary:
The Inpatient EEG Unit Leader reports to the Inpatient EEG Coordinator. Under limited supervision, the Inpatient EEG Unit Leader supports the Clinical Neurophysiology Services department, ICCE, and Medical Center goals. Goals include achievement of clinical and quality measures, operational efficiency, financial targets as well as population/age-specific needs of the department.
