    Description

Help define the future of hardware development by building a collaboration platform for circuit designs, enabling the next generation of smart vehicles, IOT devices, rockets, medical devices, robotics, and much more.

At AllSpice, we're building agile development tools for hardware designers, including a Git-friendly translation layer and automated CI/CD test framework for native circuit designs - think GitHub/GitLab for electronics.

Join our team to help us bring our hardware design collaboration product to the next level.

    What will you do?

This is a high-impact role that comes with lots of autonomy and requires a self-driven, collaborative person. You will be focused on new features and user experience, and you will:

  • Work closely with our CEO & CTO to create, maintain and champion the company's product roadmap
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the Engineering and Go-to-market teams to design, scope, and prioritize roadmap items
  • Lead the brainstorming, ideation, and testing of potential new solutions
  • Create mockups and user stories using a design tool like Figma
  • Routinely coordinate and conduct user interviews to gather insights and/or idea feedback
  • Define, document, and communicate objectives, requirements, and constraints for product initiatives
  • Research and stay current on industry trends, the state of hardware tooling, and user needs to inform project decisions and the prioritization of tasks

    Example projects

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and storyboard a new user onboarding experience
  • Create mockups and test product features to lower the learning curve for git beginners
  • Research metered pricing and scope requirements for rollout

    Relevant skills

You don't necessarily have to be proficient in all of these, but the more you know the better:

  • 4+ years of product management experience working on highly-technical, infrastructure, or developer tool products
  • Project management skills with ability to lead and collaborate with varied stakeholders, from engineers to customers, to move projects forward
  • Experience managing software projects using GitHub or a similar issue tracking system
  • Exposure to building products in the hardware space or working closely with hardware teams
  • Experience in a legacy industry or developing legacy tooling
  • You can think in terms of the big picture but deliver on the details
  • Beyond just shipping new products, you obsess about continuous product improvement
  • Comfortable giving feedback, and can operate as a peer to our executive team
  • Ability to manage ambiguity gracefully, autonomy, and confidence in being self-directed

    Bonus skills

  • Early-stage startup experience
  • Electrical engineering background
  • Knowledge of software workflows and Git platforms

This is a remote-first role. However, our primary locations are San Francisco, CA and Boston, MA. You are generally expected to be available between 1pm and 5pm EST for any team meetings and/or discussions, otherwise, work hours are flexible.
