- The Relativity Expert is responsible for all activities within the four corners of the Relativity application from processing to production
- Assist stakeholders and provide expert guidance as to the identification, preservation, collection, processing, review, analysis, production and presentation of electronic and scanned data from known and novel sources.
- Expert knowledge of Relativity processing, Relativity workspace deployment, Relativity workspace security, Relativity searching, Relativity layouts, Relativity views, the Relativity Desktop Console ("RDC") and the Relativity Processing Console ("RPC").
- Mastery of Relativity Search and best practices.
- Mastery of analysis of presented discovery documents to identify searches that return responsive documents and troubleshooting of presented searches to effect maximum relevant returns.
- Extensive experience using Technology Assisted Review ("TAR") and Conceptual Analytics and the ability to articulate how these tools work and their resultant output to laypersons including the ability to testify as to these processes in a court of law.
- Extensive experience with large workspace management, to include successful troubleshooting and completion of deSearch indexes, Conceptual Analytics indexes, Repeated Content, Email Threading, Name Normalization and Near Duplicate Analysis.
- Expert in the crafting of regular expressions and the use of the Blackout application snap-in.
- The ability and skillset to perform Relativity smoke tests to verify successful upgrades and patches and to identify potential issues as the result of same.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate sophisticated issues and resolutions to laypersons in time-sensitive situations.
- Excellent grammar, phone skills, and professional in-person demeanor.
- The individual shall be highly dependable, self-starting, and use active rather than passive means to perform assigned tasks.

- 7 years or more of eDiscovery experience
- Experience in the use of standardized e-Discovery software tools such as Relativity, Clearwell, Concordance, or other enterprise tools Preferred or Desired experience, knowledge, skills, abilities
- Bachelor's degree
- 24 credit hours in computer science, engineering or mathematics Preferred or Desired Education

Relativity Expert Position Code Work Location Lorton, VA Security Clearance Public Trust The DEA requires qualified digital forensic examiners to conduct identification, collection, preservation, documentation and analysis of digital evidenceThe DEA also requires qualified Discovery staff in support eDiscovery services
The DEA requires the following support staff: program analyst, research and develop engineers, senior system architect, and a senior system administrator
The primary place of work performance is the Digital Evidence Laboratory at 8550 Cinder Bed Road, Suite 500, Lorton, Virginia 22079, but may also include positions permanently located at other DEA facilities DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Relativity Expert has at least the Relativity Certified Administrator ("RCA") certification and shall possess at least the skills encompassed within the eDiscovery Senior position.
The Relativity Expert's duties may include all those assigned to a Senior eDiscovery Analyst and additional duties may include, but are not limited to the following:REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, COMPETENCIES:
