    The Service Technician ‐ Electrical is responsible for providing quality service for company's products. This position works in coordination with an experienced Service Technician / Sales Engineer to manage all service and service‐related projects.

    This responsibility includes:

    1. Commissioning and servicing company equipment in customerʹs establishment, according to specifications. Consulting with customer and engineering staff to resolve design and operational problems. Training customer personnel in operating and maintaining equipment as required.

    2. Hands‐on support of the Field Sales Organization with necessary site visits, analysis, and proposals where troubleshooting is required. In addition, the Service Technician ‐ Electrical is primarily responsible for most control panel‐related services, troubleshooting, problem solving.

    The Service Technician ‐ Electrical will also provide support for warehouse operations as required.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    In coordination with an experienced Service Technician / Sales Engineer:

    • Responsible for customer‐ordered start‐ups/commissioning of company equipment, and follow‐up maintenance and service, in customerʹs establishment, utilizing knowledge of relevant mechanical and electrical equipment.
    • Plays a leading role in control panel and electrical‐related troubleshooting, site training,commissioning and problem solving.
    • Consults with customer personnel as needed to resolve process or equipment requirements and concerns both prior to installation/start‐up and after.
    • Operates company. equipment through trial run at customerʹs establishment to ensure that equipment functions as intended.
    • Trains customers' personnel in adjusting, maintaining, and repairing company equipment.
    • Repairs, supervises repair and/or handles replacement of worn or defective company equipment and parts in customerʹs plant.
    • Manages each service‐related task assigned to him/her, including scheduling and delivering quality service to internal and external customers, while upholding company values at all times to ensure high customer satisfaction.
    • Maintains and grows service/start‐up customer relationships by providing consultative recommendations for other processes within customer location as required.
    • Serves as internal technical support for Sales Representatives to achieve or exceed sales goals as required.
    • Performs warehouse product inspections for general condition, documents by photos, verbal communication, written records of exact condition prior to being sent for repair, replacement, shipment, or reorder.
    • Supports warehouse operations as required, schedule permitting.
    • Provides QA checks on company as required.
    • Travels in support of sales or training meetings, and/or trade shows as required.
    • Works with company approved tools and assets.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Background/experience necessary to become accomplished in company equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications. Knowledge of design techniques, principles, tools and instruments involved in the production and use of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

    • Background/experience necessary to become expert at hands‐on skills required for maintaining and repairing company equipment, or systems using the needed tools. Some Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance is required.
    • Problem‐solving experience in routine maintenance and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.

    Ability to:

    o Test to determine whether equipment, software, or procedures are operating as expected.

    o Test to determine what is causing an operating error and decide what to do about it.

    o Communicate with customers and co‐workers and others to effectively convey information.

    o Troubleshoot and problem solve.

    • Knowledge of electric circuit boards, processors, chips, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming is a must.
    • The ability to build control panels in accordance with requisite licensing /certification / regulatory requirements is preferable.
    • Prior technical Service and Sales Experience in manufacturing equipment or related industry with demonstrated prior record of achievement. Participation in service and sales skills training a plus.
    • Organizational skills for proper planning/management/record‐keeping, especially relating to service agreements, regularly scheduled maintenance.
    • Excellent verbal, written and telephone skills supported by strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team structure. Knowledge and use of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
    • Excellent math and reasoning skills.
    • Experience in the use of CAD equipment for preparing routine layouts a plus
    • Ability to learn and retain product‐specific information as it pertains to the position.
    • Computer literacy required: Microsoft Office, database, other.
