    Description
    The company sells its products and services through a network of independently owned dealers serving the agricultural equipment markets.

    In this position the District Sales Manager is responsible for managing the overall business relationship with dealers and customers in MN, WI and SD.

    They will create business plans with distribution to meet company's growth objectives year over year, and making sure the dealer network is constantly being developed to effectively serve customer needs.


    • Responsible for growing sales share, parts sales and service in the assigned territory of MN, WI and SD.
    • Develops implements and executes sales strategies for the district in alignment with overall sales and company strategies.
    • Develops, implements, and executes annual business planning with dealer network addressing market share targets, annual order programs for whole goods, parts growth targets, marketing objectives, and training requirements.
    • Act as a liaison between company and dealer to facilitate the relationship, ensure adequate geographical coverage in assigned territories, ensure dealer trains sales and service personnel, and invests in agreed upon initiatives in the business planning process as part of the overall dealer development process.
    • Must effectively plan territory travel, as the position requires weekly overnight travel to territories.
    • Conduct customer clinics and product training (annually) in conjunction with dealers.
    • Requires a BA in Agriculture, Business or related field.
    • Must have 5 years of territory sales experience.
    • Required travel is 4 nights a week.
    • Able to manage time and prioritize sales efforts effectively.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • A team player, sharing best practices for process improvements and betterment of sales results.
    • Possess business acumen, capable of developing and executing sales strategies and business plans aligned with company objectives.
    • Able to understand and report to company market conditions, customers issues, competitive landscape, dealer business issues and opportunities.
    • Capable to be trained and train customers and dealers on product application, features, and benefits.
