- Under general supervision, performs a variety of defined research and laboratory tests and experiments according to prescribed protocols and assigned schedules.

Description
The Gracz lab is hiring a research specialist/lab manager to work with us in the Division of Digestive Diseases at Emory University. Our lab is interested in understanding the genetic regulation of stem and progenitor cells in the intestine and liver, with a focus on the relationship between transcription factors, chromatin, and cellular identity. We employ a wide range of techniques, including transgenic/knockout mouse models, primary 3-dimensional organoid cultures, genomics assays, and computational biology.
In addition to helping with day-to-day management of the lab, the candidate will play a central role in advancing our science. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing projects, assisting with training new members as the lab grows, and contributing to publications as first or co-authors. Experience in cell culture and standard molecular biology techniques is preferred. Must be comfortable working with mice and managing mouse colonies.
