    Position Overview:

    My client is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to oversee our EHS programs across their multi-facility operations. The EHS Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    EHS Program Management

    • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as ISO 14001 standards.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to EHS policies and procedures.

    Safety Leadership

    • Provide leadership and guidance on safety initiatives, including training programs, hazard identification, risk assessments, and incident investigation.
    • Drive a proactive safety culture by promoting awareness, engagement, and accountability at all levels of the organization.
    • Lead safety committee meetings and facilitate continuous improvement efforts to reduce incidents and injuries.

    Environmental Compliance

    • Monitor environmental performance metrics and ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations, permits, and reporting requirements.
    • Implement strategies to minimize environmental impacts, such as waste reduction, pollution prevention, and resource conservation.
    • Stay abreast of emerging environmental trends and regulations to proactively address potential risks and opportunities.

    Training and Education

    • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders to promote awareness and competency in safety and environmental practices.
    • Provide coaching and support to personnel on EHS-related matters, including safe work procedures, emergency response protocols, and environmental management practices.

    Risk Management

    • Identify, assess, and mitigate EHS risks associated with manufacturing processes, equipment, and facilities.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement controls and safeguards to minimize risks and prevent incidents.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management within heavy industrial manufacturing or similar industries.
    • In-depth knowledge of relevant EHS regulations, standards, and best practices, including ISO
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) are desirable.
