- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as ISO 14001 standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to EHS policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership and guidance on safety initiatives, including training programs, hazard identification, risk assessments, and incident investigation.
- Drive a proactive safety culture by promoting awareness, engagement, and accountability at all levels of the organization.
- Lead safety committee meetings and facilitate continuous improvement efforts to reduce incidents and injuries.
- Monitor environmental performance metrics and ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations, permits, and reporting requirements.
- Implement strategies to minimize environmental impacts, such as waste reduction, pollution prevention, and resource conservation.
- Stay abreast of emerging environmental trends and regulations to proactively address potential risks and opportunities.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders to promote awareness and competency in safety and environmental practices.
- Provide coaching and support to personnel on EHS-related matters, including safe work procedures, emergency response protocols, and environmental management practices.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate EHS risks associated with manufacturing processes, equipment, and facilities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement controls and safeguards to minimize risks and prevent incidents.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management within heavy industrial manufacturing or similar industries.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant EHS regulations, standards, and best practices, including ISO
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) are desirable.
