    Position Summary:

    As a Property Accountant with CHP, you'll be at the forefront of our financial operations, working closely with the Accounting Manager and Controller to maintain the financial integrity of our property portfolios. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks, from overseeing daily transactions and bank reconciliations to preparing comprehensive reports and providing crucial financial insights to support decision-making.

    Responsibilities:
    • Lead the daily oversight of cash transactions and accounts payable processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Conduct thorough bank reconciliations across multiple systems, including Yardi, to maintain financial integrity.
    • Prepare and post journal entries meticulously to accurately record business transactions and maintain up-to-date financial records.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including Property Management, Asset Management, and Project Development, to provide financial insights and support.
    • Compile and analyze financial data to prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Assist in the preparation of investor reporting packages and provide support for tax return filings.
    • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
    • 1-3 years of experience in commercial real estate or multi-unit accounting.
    • Proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and reconciliation processes.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to maintaining high-quality financial records.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Yardi or similar accounting software.
