This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) current vacancy in the Transportation Department.
A Marketing/Communications Specialist II is a journey-level, professional classification responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing a marketing public relations education program for an assigned division or subdivision.
- The duties may include handling electronic print media activities press releases advertising meeting with interested parties writing articles for publication graphic design work planning developing and implementing information programs materials to facilitate communication effectively educating public about program area issues in positive manner developing public education programs attending neighborhood meetings community events school groups church groups club meetings maintaining division website developing producing web technology writing designing pages keeping it up-to-date interesting interactive exercising discretion courtesy dealing with public may have lead responsibilities supervision of clerical paraprofessional classes performing related duties as required this class performs greater complexity scope considerable latitude exercised minimal supervision required significant element involves specialized nature requires patience tact persuasion dealing citizens news media representatives businesspersons affected City programs projects This class FLSA exempt-administrative Please refer link below full job description additional information assignments preferred qualifications essential functions.
