Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Lead Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes that delight our guests. Your leadership will inspire a team of cooks and kitchen staff to work efficiently, maintain food safety standards, and execute menu items with precision. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team during service, ensuring timely and consistent food preparation
- Oversee food handling, storage, and sanitation practices in compliance with safety regulations
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items with expert knife skills and attention to detail
- Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and portion control to maintain quality standards
- Coordinate with dietary department staff to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions
- Ensure all food preparation aligns with health codes, safety standards, and company policies
- Support catering events by managing meal preparation, plating, and presentation for large groups
Skills
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in dining environments
- Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling procedures
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety protocols
- Experience working in dietary aide roles or dietary departments is a plus
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food industry standards for quality control
- Strong understanding of food service operations, catering, and restaurant experience
- Ability to train team members on proper cooking methods, safety practices, and customer service standards
Pay: $ $21.66 per hour
