    Jefferies Consumer & Retail Group provides a full suite of advisory and capital markets capabilities to clients across a number of sectors, including consumer products, food & beverage, foodservice & restaurants, and retail. The Global Consumer & Retail Group consists of a team of approximately 50 bankers focused on providing services to clients in these industries in North America, Europe and Asia.

    POSITION:

    The Global Consumer & Retail team is actively looking for a Vice President 1, Vice President 2, or Associate 3 to join our New York office to help support the Consumer industry coverage team. This industry vertical includes the Food & Beverage sectors, with many private and public clients. The Vice President will be working closely with senior members of the Consumer Group in a sector with significant M&A, equity and leverage finance deal activity.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Preparing and participating in the delivery of client presentations
    • Analyzing business plans and participating in due diligence sessions
    • Drafting private and public marketing materials such as offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, and S-1s
    • Compiling a variety of financial analyses such as valuation, pro forma, and three statement operational models
    • Leading due diligence and drafting sessions
    • Preparing and managing the delivery of internal deal memos and engagement letters
    • Mentor junior team members.
    These responsibilities afford direct and active interaction with the senior executive management teams of our clients. VP's in the Consumer and Retail Group are expected to attend and participate in client meetings and contribute to building and maintaining client relationships. You will work on several projects simultaneously with teams of professionals, both from within the group and across the firm, including with product partners such as bankers in our Leveraged Finance, Equity Capital Markets, M&A and Restructuring teams. In addition, VPs are expected to take on select client coverage responsibilities.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND 5+ years of Investment Banking experience
    • MBA degree (or equivalent graduate degree) from an accredited college or university AND 3-4 years of Investment Banking experience in Consumer or a sector coverage group
    • Financial modeling coursework, training, or experience
    • Live in New York or willing to relocate
    • Resourceful self-starter; able to work autonomously
    • Demonstrated team player and leader
    The salary range for this role is $225,000 - $275,000.
