    Chief Finance Officer

    The Chief Finance Officer will lead the financial management of a nationally recognized non-profit organization, overseeing a $40 million-dollar annual budget and ensuring strong fiscal management.

    Salary:

    $120,000 - $150,000 per year

    Job Description:

    This senior leadership role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the operational aspects of the organization's planning, monitoring, and finances.

    • Develops and implements financial strategies to achieve organizational goals.
    • Oversees preparation of the annual budget and provides financial analysis.
    • Makes recommendations to the CEO and Executive Staff on financial decisions, asset management, and mitigating institutional risk.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    The following are essential duties and responsibilities of the Chief Finance Officer:

    • Finance
      • Sets strategy in collaboration with the executive team for complex, multi-funder, private and public financial grant compliance.
      • Oversees payroll function and all tax compliance work.
      • Communicates with staff, leadership team, Board of Directors, Finance Committee, and external constituents on complex financial matters.
      • Maintains agency financial records according to agency policy and program funding requirements.
    • Strategic Planning
      • Contributes to policy and process development efforts.
      • Lives complex projects across functions and programs as assigned.
      • Provides leadership and direct supervision to the Accounting Manager.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
    • Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
    • Seven or more years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
