Fire Sprinkler Qualifier, Drafter, Designer
Hollywood, FL
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in the preparation of detailed Computer Aided Design (HydroCAD) drawings to assure the efficient and effective placement of our products and systems
- Assure that designs are consistent with required specifications and building code.
- Applies experience and simple judgment to make decisions within defined options or standard protocols – follows through on issues
- Create HydroCAD drawings from sketches, verbal instructions and/or sample parts.
- Examine drawings and other engineering documentation to verify completeness and accuracy of data
- Assist the engineering department in the development, evaluation process, and improvement of manufacturing methods within the plant facility.
- Demonstrate safe work practices in accordance with Mircom's Safety Program, OSHA, and EPA
- Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
- Able to perform trigonometric mathematical and/or statistical operations regarding engineering product design and applications
- Lead a team of 20
Skills and Qualificaions:
- Related Degree with applicable experience.
- Nicet certification I or II in Water Systems design is desirable.
- Fire Protector Conractor License 1/2
- 2- 5 years related experience.
- Leadership expereince
- Written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Hydrocad, and other drafting related software.
- Proficient with typical Microsoft computer software
- Related experience in the fire products business is a real plus.
- Well organized with strong planning and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Quality orientation.
- Able to organize multiple projects
