    Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965.

    Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border.

    During residency training program, residents have many professional responsibilities including but not limited to the clinical care of patients, improving knowledge and skills through the educational experiences, and teaching those with whom they work.

    In addition, graduate medical education is based on the principle of progressively increasing levels of responsibility in under the supervision of qualified faculty in preparation for board certification and the independent practice of medicine.

    Qualifications


    Meet all requirements for postdoctoral training as established by the American Osteopathic Association and the component specialty colleges as applicable.


    Must have successfully passed the COMLEX 1, COMLEX 2 and COMLEX 2PE standardized osteopathic medical examinations prior to entering Texoma Medical Center's Family Medicine Residency Program.

    CPR and ACLS required.


    Analytical ability and clinical knowledge required to evaluate the condition of the patient based on data from the medical record / discussions with patient / evaluation of patient, to develop patient care plans and initiate or change orders based on changing patient condition and/or a physician approved protocol.

    Effective verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic.
