- Effectively communicate and market aspects of locations to gain new business opportunities.
- Work with advertising agencies, consulting firms, and vendors to maximize advertising investments and ensure ads represent brand identity.
- Identify improvements to marketing activities and overall sales performance and work with other departments.

- A minimum of 5 years experience in Event/Catering Sales with 2+ years of Director level experience

Job DescriptionPosition:
The Director of Event Sales position is responsible for managing the event, sales, and reservations team and overseeing the continued growth of the entire department, including reaching the Sales Goals as well as executing all events in a professional manner for all venues.
The Director of Event Sales key function is to ensure that the financial goals are met in a professional manner while always providing exemplary guest service. DOSM's responsibilities include, but are not limited to making sure that the team are soliciting, negotiating, and booking new and repeat business through outside sales calls, mailings, networking, staff training, etc. Primary sales efforts are in Banquet Food and Beverage and include menu planning, agenda setting, and meeting services. Duties also include contract review and facilitating communication before, during, and post-event with pertinent staff to ensure a high level of service. Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to oversight and management of the events and event spaces, new business marketing, and capturing sales for photography and filming.
