    Description

    VP of Asset Management

    Our client is an established Asset Management and Investment Management company who is in search of an analytical, dynamic, and motivated Vice President of Asset Management for their Loan Workout team. The VP of Asset Management will oversee the day-to-day management and resolution of a loan portfolio, primarily comprising specially serviced CMBS loans, along with other distressed loan assets. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in commercial real estate debt, strong communication skills, and leadership capabilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Proactively manage and resolve a portfolio of specially serviced CMBS loans and distressed debt assets.
    • Negotiate and structure comprehensive debt instruments, overseeing transactions throughout the life cycle.
    • Conduct detailed analysis of collateral and loan positioning, evaluating value and exploring restructuring options.
    • Interact with third-party consultants such as attorneys, receivers, and appraisers.
    • Ensure compliance with loan documents, servicing agreements, and relevant regulations.
    • Present resolution strategies and recommendations to leadership.
    • Prepare quarterly business plans and cash flow projections.

    Requirements

    • Bachelors Degree from an accredited university in Commercial Real Estate, Finance, or related field.
    • At least 7 years of experience in non-performing commercial real estate loan workouts or debt asset management.
    • Advanced proficiency with commercial real estate, fixed income, and financial concepts.
    • Familiarity with various loan origination and servicing types, including bank, conventional, agency, and CMBS.
    • Experience in underwriting commercial real estate transactions.
