The Department of Financial Services, Division of Procurement has an opening for a Judicial Buyer in Franklin County.

This position responsible for planning and managing solicitations, negotiating, awarding, managing, and renewing contracts, purchasing goods, supplies and services for Kentucky court of justice and ensuring that all purchases follow governmental purchasing guidelines and standards.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Receives purchase requests.
• Verifies that item/service requested for purchase is covered by the identified procurement vehicle.
• Completes purchases of goods/non-professional services on state price contract or AOC contract and gathers required documentation.
• Completes purchases of goods/non-professional services under small purchase authority and gathers required documentation.
• Issues determination and finding for small purchases $10,000 or greater.
• Establishes vendors in database.
• Compiles reports.
• Maintains department documents and records.
• Assists with phones as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
