    Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant - Financial Data Governance within the Corporate Accounting Governance Team located in Wilmington, DE. Reporting to the Global Corporate Accounting Governance Manager, this position is responsible for identifying and providing solutions for data attribute inconsistencies on financial postings in both legacy SAP systems and Central Finance. This role works closely with Controllership, Platform Finance and Supply Chain. In addition, this role oversees the team performing necessary analytics to support transactions that cross over Corteva's ERP systems ("Cross Tower") and their associated external reporting.

    Primary Responsibilities - What you will do to help us grow

    • Become a Subject Matter Expert on the current mapping logic from heritage SAP systems into Central Finance on all data attributes (Brand, Sales Season, Treatment, Functional Area, etc.).
    • Work with business partners to understand data inconsistencies on financial postings.
    • Research within legacy SAP and Central Finance on why/how the data inconsistencies are occurring.
    • Propose and implement solutions for data inconsistencies and provide correcting entries, if needed.
    • Provide guidance and training to business partners on an as needed basis on Central Finance functionality.
    • Develop documentation on key learnings, processes, etc. that can be shared with key stakeholders for future reference by the organization.
    • Review work of Cross Tower team and approve required accounting entries for consolidation.

    Other Responsibilities

    • Identify and implement improvement opportunities.
    • Understand end-to-end business processes, operations, and policies to adequately identify and assess risks.
    • Work on special projects as needed.
    • Ability to work extended hours, as needed, for the month-end closing processes.

    Qualifications

    What expertise have you grown - What you bring to the table

    • BS Accounting, Finance and/or related major.
    • Advanced Excel and SAP skillset.
    • Approximately 5+ years in accounting, finance and/or information technology.
    • Must be self-directed, organized and accountable.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
    • Works well in teams with an ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization.
    • Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills.
    • Advanced in Microsoft applications, BPC, SharePoint, SAP, Analysis for Office.
    • Ability to research requirements, solutions, evaluate alternative approaches, and present recommended solution in SAP-Finance.
    • Ability to work in high-pressure project environment with speed & agility.
    • Demonstrated effectiveness and ability to work independently, and drive results with peers, stakeholders, and customers.
